Aquamarines are one of my favorite stones, they're also my amazing mothers birthstone! Happy birthday mom!
Called the "stone of the sea" and believed to be the treasure of mermaids, sailors carried aquamarines as a talisman of good luck, fearlessness and protection from seasickness. Today this is a great stone to carry along in travels by, over, or near water, and opens the channels of clear and heartfelt communication. A perfect gift if someone you love will be traveling overseas and away from you.
Aquamarines are an amazing calming stone and great for use in meditation and grounding exercises. They are associated with the throat chakra and a perfect to wear when you need to speak clearly and overcome the fear of speaking to an audience.
Aquamarine honors Kuan-Yin, the Chinese Goddess of Mercy, Compassion, and Unconditional Love. She is the most beloved of the Chinese goddesses and is regarded by many as the protector of women and children, and champion of the unfortunate.
Aquamarine also honors Akna, the Mayan Goddess of Motherhood, and Kupala, the Slavonic Water Goddess.
Wear aquamarines during travel, speaking engagements and when you need healing and calming energies.
